Congratulations to the Raskin Starz who competed in NYCDA on January 30th - February 1st. Jamie Askey, Francene Halili, Kristen Jose and Oksana Barhatkov were scholarship winners for the weekend. Thank you to Miss Sunny and Miss Maryann for producing excellent choreography as well as putting together a winning team. You all should be as proud as we are!
The Starz team received some very nice awards recently, including 2 Critic's Choice Awards at New York Dance Alliance. It was an honor to win against some really amazing teams.

Best of JUMP Mini Division - Jungle
These two numbers were invited to perform again
in the Faculty show on Sunday.
The Mini Group won an Overall High Score
1st Place for Jungle and 2nd Place for Lullaby. (Not bad for your first time)!
The Teen Line won an Overall High Score
1st Place for Let Go.
Congratulations to Courtney Chapman and Amanda Troop for winning Tap Scholarships; Jamie Askey for winning a Jazz Scholarship; and Lily Flanders and Haedyn Noah for winning Ballet Scholarships. Brittney Chapman was invited to perform with Doug Caldwell in the Faculty Show. WOW!!!
Oksana Barhatkov was named the Junior JUMP VIP.

During the weekend of April 17-19th, a few of the Raskin Starz traveled to Fort Lauderdale to participate in the Adrenaline Competition.
Congratulations to the girls for an outstanding weekend!
The following girls were chosen as Adrenaline Dance Crew, which gives them a scholarship to the Nationals and 50% off any summer intensive:
Francene Halili, Charisma DeLaRosa and Oksana Barhatkov
The following girls won scholarships from Adrenaline:
Brittney Chapman for Hip Hop and Jamie Askey a year long scholarship.
The older girls won Best of Show for "Let Go," choreographed by Maryann DeAngelis and the younger girls on the team were asked to perform "Jungle" for the Best of Show Competition.
What a great weekend with great classes, great competition and great fun. We are very proud of you girls!
