Sunny Raskin
Sunny Raskin is from Orlando Florida. She started her dance education at School for Performing Arts, Southern Ballet, Royal School of Dance and The Dance Place. As a teen, her mother, Valerie Raskin, opened Raskin Dance Studio where she currently teaches. After she finished high school, she received a scholarship to The Edge in LA and ended up remaining there for a year and a half. She returned home to pursue her career as a professional dancer and choreographer. As a professional dancer, she worked for Nickelodeon Studios, Hardrive Productions, Shazaam Productions, Universal Studios, FOX TV, the Taj Majal in Atlantic City, Saratoga Springs Resort & Casino, The House of Blues, The New York Mets, Big Three Entertainment and Kevin Costner Golf Invitational in Monaco. Sunny’s stage performances include “Annie”, “Sound of Music”, “A Chorus Line”, “Pippin”, “Bye Bye Birdie” and “Midsummer Nights Dream.” Sunny has choreographed stage shows for national recording artists to include Sasha and John Digweed, Rabbit in the Moon, The Chrystal Method, Sam Mollison and Joey Caldwell. Her choreography credits also include the Headdress Ball, Zen Festival and Orlando City Ballet. Her most recent work which she is proud of, was with the theatre department of Cypress Creek High School as Choreographer for "Thoroughly Modern Millie." She is a recipient of numerous Outstanding Choreography awards on a national level from conventions such as LA Dance Magic, Urban Jamm, NY City Dance Alliance, Showbiz, Tremaine, LA Underground, LA Dance Force and Onstage New York. Sunny is also an established singer with four albums currently released. She is a singer / songwriter / composer that has opened for James Brown, BB King, Bad Company, Blu Cantrell, Al Green, Cowboy Mouth and Mofro. She is a guest member of The Legendary JC’s.
